About

On completion of this 14 month standard, apprentices will be competent in five key areas including; leisure and fitness operations, lifeguard duties, swimming teaching duties, gym instruction and leading group activities.

Course Overview

The Apprenticeship is for those who support the day-to-day operations of leisure facilities with both wet and dry side facilities. Aimed at those who have an entry level role in the sector.

​The Apprenticeship will focus on:

  • Professional Practice and Personal Development

  • Lifestyle management and client consultations

  • Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise

  • Planning and delivering gym-based exercise

  • Working in leisure facilities

  • Group activity session
