About
The primary role of a DevOps Engineer Apprenticeship is to make the practices and process of developing, testing, and deploying working software faster, more efficient, and more reliable through automation and harmonisation of systems and tools.
Key to their success as DevOps Engineers is a good understanding of software development practices, having the required programming/scripting skills, and understanding operations at the deployment end — on-premises or on cloud infrastructure.
Course Overview
​On this programme, you'll learn the following knowledge and skills:

The software development lifecycle, the various methodologies and the roles and responsibilities within the software development stages. This will equip learners to work across the various stages of the SDLC;

Foundational programming skills in Python, including TDD concepts and use of unit testing frameworks;

Core knowledge and understanding of fundamental DevOps values, practices, and techniques in framework-agnostic learning;

Design and implementation of DevOps processes and practices through a combination of people, process, and technology in order to deliver products and services that meet business and end-user needs;

Key cloud security issues, best practices, and technical knowledge and skills required to manage information security in the cloud
