About
Training is for Maintenance team who are responsible moving large single unit caravans using a Telescopic Handler and general large loads.
What the course covers
The course will consists of Theory and Practical experience, ensuring that all of confident in using the Telehandler.

Day 1:
​

Health & Safety update – Telehandlers
-
On site Risk Assessment
-
Telehandler & Moving large Caravans
-
Safe load charts & Safe method of operation
-
Machine pre use checks & Machine familiarisation
-
Moving off & Steering in restricted spaces
-
Basic load handling – Pallet forks & Changing attachments
-
Use of none-integrated work platform (if appropriate)

Day 2:
​
-
Re-cap on Safe driving procedures
-
Banksmanship & Coupling up
-
Planning suitable route & Move a unit forwards/ reverse in a restricted area
-
Left and Right 90’ turns & Use of 2 wheel steer for Towing
-
Use of 4 wheel steer/ Crab Steer and Boom extension for positioning the caravan
-
Un-coupling & Correct parking.
